No one ever answers the phone. I have been trying to call and pay my bill over the phone for 3 day's.
On my way to have my truck safety inspected and registered when I was stopped by a local cop in Hawk Point. I explained I was on my way to inspection of my truck and I had my title and registration card with me and the insurance statement. I told him I had been to DMV the week before trying to pay my registration since I had been in California at my home there. When I was at DMV the clerk said I couldn't register it or pay fees until it was inspected. I ask how I was to do that since it wasn't registered and she told me it was a Missouri statute that I was allowed to drive the vehicle to the inspection station and DMV without being against the law. I explained this to the officer and he told me "They don't know the law. They are DMV we are the law enforcement." He wrote me a ticket. I proceeded to Troy and got the inspection and then registered my truck and they gave me a copy of the statute showing it was permitted. I had to leave the area soon after that since I am moving and got a citation for failure to appear. I had sent a letter to the court to ask for a continuance since I was unable to appear and heard nothing. Now what? All because a cop didn't know what he was doing and wrongfully cited me. Great work on our police force!
